About Yokohama in Japan
Lying on the western coast of Tokyo Bay, Yokohama is Japan's second largest city, after Tokyo.
It is the capital city of Kanagawa Prefecture, with a population of around 3.5 million. It is now a leading port, and industrial, trade and transportation center of Japan. Yokohama has four distinct seasons, enjoying a mild climate throughout the year.
Yokohama is a beautiful and lively city. In The Minato Mirai 21 precinct, Yokohama Marine Tower is the tallest lighthouse in the world and a landmark of the city.
Across the street is the Yokohama Maritime Museum and the tallship Nippon Maru. The Cosmo World Amusement Park is nearby. Yokohama World Porters shopping complex and Queen`s Square Yokohama are next to Cosmo World. Yokohama Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in Japan. Yamashita Park is a great place where
you can get a good view of the sea and the ships. Sankeien Garden is a vast genuine Japanese garden, where displays beautiful seasonal flowers. The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is the first food amusement park in the world. Other attractions are Motomachi and Yamate, Waterfront Promenade.
