About Arnhem in Netherlands
Situated on the lower Rhine River in eastern Netherlands, Arnhem is the capital of Gelderland province. Arnhem is well known for The Battle of Arnhem in the World War II. It is now a business industrial, trade, transportation, and tourism center. It has a population of about 140,000. The city has a tropical climate,
with hot, wet in summer and mild, dry in winter.
Arnhem is a city rich in historical and cultural heritage. The National Heritage Museum is an open air museum and park with the
antique houses, the old farmhouses, workshops, windmills and trams, which are gathered from different parts of the Netherlands.
The Museum for Modern Art houses a fine collection of modern and contemporary art, as well as artwork by Dutch Masters.
The Arnhem Bridge is the third almost identical bridge built at the same site. Burgers' Zoo is the biggest zoo in the Netherlands.
The National Park de Hoge Veluwe is the largest national park in the country. Other main attractions include Dutch Water Museum, Dutch Water Museum, Historical Museum Arnhem, Arnhems War Museum, Sonsbeek Park, and Eusebius Church.
